Frequently asked questions
I’m a beginner, which class should I take?

Reformer: If you are a Reformer Pilates beginner, or have taken some time off and are easing back into things, we highly recommend starting with “First Base” as your first class.

Aerial: If you are new to Aerial Pilates, you should begin with our “Fundamentals” class. Please note, we do not recommend these classes if you have a history of vertigo or suffer from motion sickness. You must be injury free or contact us prior to signing up to discuss your injury so we can determine if this class will be suitable for you.

Mat: “Mat Fling” and “Mat Restore” is open to all levels.

Barre: “Love Barre” is open to all levels.

How do I book a Free First Class?

Our ‘Free First Class’ was a promotion we ran during our first year of operating. This promotion has now ended. Our current new client promotion is our ‘Love Starter’ intro offer which gives you 2 weeks of unlimited Reformer, Aerial, Mat & Barre classes for just $65! You can redeem Love Starter via our website here or the Mindbody app. You must create a Mindbody account or login with an existing account.

How do I sign up to Love Starter?

You can sign up for our “Love Starter” intro offer via our website, app or the Mindbody app. You must create a Mindbody account (or login with an existing account). You can either purchase “Love Starter” under pricing options, or head straight to the first class you wish to book, and be offered the promotion upon checkout. Your 2 weeks of unlimited classes will start from your first booking, not your purchase date.

I have finished Love Starter, how do I continue booking classes?

Awesome, you have made it through 2 weeks of your Pilates journey! To continue your journey, you can purchase our S Club 5, 10 or 20 passes to use as you wish, or for more cost effective, regular Pilates love, sign up to one of our SLC Membership options. We also have Private & Semi-Private options available. You can read about our Membership options under the “Pricing” button on our website. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your inbox for special offers during your Love Starter fortnight.

How do I cancel my booking?

You can cancel a booking via the Mindbody app or by logging in to Mindbody via our website. You can either visit your account schedule and cancel your class, or you can visit our timetable and find the class you have booked to proceed to cancel the class. You must cancel no less than 6 hours prior to your class start time to avoid losing your pass and incurring a late cancellation fee. If you do not cancel your booking and do not show up to your class, you will lose your pass and be charged a $15 no show fee.

Can I do Pilates if I have an injury?

The fantastic thing about Pilates is that it can be modified to suit all abilities and injuries. It’s super important we know about your injury prior to class so we can get in touch if we have any concerns. Our instructors are more than capable and enthusiastic to modify exercises as you require. Please get in touch with us at info@selfloveclubpilates.com.au if you’re in doubt about your injury!

Can I do Pilates pregnant?

Safely maintaining your exercise throughout pregnancy is hugely beneficial, which is why our Instructors have been trained by a Women’s Health Physiotherapist in all things pregnancy Pilates to ensure your safety and wellbeing. You may participate in our classes throughout the duration of your pregnancy as long as you are complication free. We require a doctor’s clearance prior to exercising after the first trimester. Please get in contact with us at info@selfloveclubpilates.com.au prior to attending your first class pregnant so we can guide you on your journey appropriately.

How do I suspend or cancel my membership?

You must provide 7 days minimum notice to suspend your membership. To suspend your membership, please fill out this form. If you need to cancel your membership, please get in contact with us at info@selfloveclubpilates.com.au. You must provide 2 weeks notice in writing via email. Verbal, Instagram and SMS requests for suspensions or cancellations will not be accepted.

Can I extend my class passes?

If you have been unwell or injured and require an extension, please get in contact with us at info@selfloveclubpilates.com.au with a copy of your medical certificate and we would be more than happy to extend your passes. If you require extension for any other reason please get in contact and we will assess this on a case by case basis.

Why is it asking me to pay a casual rate if I purchased Love Starter?

Your Love Starter offer activates from the very first class you book after purchase. For example, if you book your first class for a Friday, then try to come back to book the Thursday prior, the system won’t recognise the pass as active. Don’t fret if this happens! Flick us an email at info@selfloveclubpilates.com.au and let us know this has happened. We can easily update your activation date so you can book all those juicy classes!

Do you have grip socks available to purchase at the studio?

We sure do! We stock the latest range of grip socks from MoveActive in both studios. You can purchase these for $22.95 a pair.

How does the waitlist work?

You can join the waitlist for a class if it is fully booked, and if any cancellations occur, you will be notified up to 1 hour before the class starts. If you add yourself to a waitlist, you are agreeing to the commitment of attending that class if a spot becomes available. You must remove yourself from the waitlist if you no longer wish to attend. Normal late cancel and no show terms and conditions apply to waitlisted clients. Make sure you switch on your email & text notifications in your Mindbody account.
